Description of the Process: Our goal is to make your tuning process as simple as possible.
Remote tuning requires the rental of a dyno. We do not remote street tune cars on Hondata.
Remote tuning requires the use of a wideband o2 sensor. If your car does not have one installed and the dyno does not have a wideband, we cannot tune your car.
When selecting a shop for dyno rental, please ensure the shop has wifi OR you cell service for a personal hotspot available.
After placing the order on the web store, we will reach out by phone or by email to confirm one of the dates and time you have placed on the description. Upon confirmation, we will send you links to the software needed to remote tune the vehicle.
We will remote into the vehicle on the assigned time/date and do our best to tune the car to your expectations.
If for some reason the date needs to be moved for any reason, 48hr notice must be given. For no call, no show tunes, Your tune will be refunded, and the $100 non-refundbale deposit will be retained.
In the event that the dyno cannot be completed due to mechanical issue in the car, an additional fee for finishing the car on a separate dyno session maybe assessed. This will be determined by the amount of tuning completed and time spent on the remote tune. Because of this, it is imperative that you ensure your vehicle is 100% ready for tuning before purchasing the service.
Remote Tuning is NOT available for the following areas: Oklahoma, Arkansas, Texas, Missouri, Kansas
All cars from the states above must tuned IN-HOUSE.
All remote tunes must be completed within 60 days starting from the day the initial basemap is sent. If the tune service runs longer than 60 days without prior arrangements you will have to purchase the retune service to continue.
Berfore purchasing, please understand the points below:
1.) You are not our only customer. We have a large amount of customers, builds, and tunes going on at all times in the shop as well as online. We will attempt to get you a basemap within 2 days, but it can be as long as a week. We try our best to make a revision every day, but it's also not always possible.
2.) An emergency on your part does not constitute an emergency on ours. If you had a deadline prior to ordering a tune, it will not change how fast your tune is completed, so plan accordingly, and then some.
3.) Tuners are not on call. They are not available to talk on the phone. The tuner is only hired for one task, and that task is to tune the car. If you need sales assistance for parts, call the shop 918.461.8951. There is no free tech.
4.) Your car NEEDS to be 100% ready with all the parts it is going to be tuned with. Changing parts mid tune will require the purchase of a retune. Spark plugs need to be appropriately gapped, boost leak test needs to be performed, and there should be no exhaust leaks.
5.) While we do have a youtube channel a have made videos showing how the process works for the tune, we will not teach you to tune nor set up your car. The purpose of a remote tune is solely to tune the car, not diagnose things over the internet. If help is offered, understand that help is voluntary and not a guarantee of continued help to diagnose a car with problems.
6.) You always have the option to ship the car to the shop at your expense. This is done on a scheduled basis, unscheduled cars will not be accepted, and will be shipped back or towed to the local tow yard at your expense.
